• Renal denervation clinical trials for refractory hypertension – a new way to treat uncontrolled hypertension with renal denervation. We’re the only ones in the region to offer this option.
• Access to Ochsner cardiovascular specialty care in your local communities – from the Bayou to Baton Rouge and across the North Shore region. No matter where patients enter our system, they have easy, on-demand access to the care they need.
Academically, we’ve also been productive – our physicians published 136 peer-reviewed manuscripts, a record number.
On the educational front, our medical school hit a milestone, graduating more than 100 physicians. We’re the only institution in the state to offer advanced training in all four cardiology subspecialties – interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure and noninvasive imaging (i.e. echocardiography, cardiac MRI, cardiac CTA and nuclear cardiology).
