The mission of the General Pediatric Practice is to focus on the diagnosis and treatment of children from birth to 18 years of age. The department’s physicians are specially trained to solve complex diagnostic problems and manage chronic illnesses. When other medical specialists are needed, they will also coordinate and often serve as consultants in your child’s care.
Teaching Ochsner’s patients and patients’ parents about wellness and disease prevention, education and childhood disease management are important aspects of the care provided. Other routine services include:
