Ochsner Health Center – Raceland is an adult medical practice located on the Ochsner St. Anne Hospital campus. Our services include primary care, help with quitting smoking, and education and management for diabetes. The skilled doctors and nurse practitioners here focus on diagnosing and treating complex health issues and managing chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and thyroid problems. You can call or message your doctor, schedule appointments, submit refill requests for medication and schedule preventive health reminders to help you stay on track. MyOchsner also allows you to view your results and connect your family to your records and treatment team.

Schedule an appointment
To schedule an appointment, call 985-537-2273. You may also schedule an appointment through MyOchsner.
We offer same-day and next-day appointments. We also offer virtual visits. If you are a new patient, your first virtual appointment is at the discretion of the provider. Learn more about virtual visits, here.
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please make every effort to notify us within a 24-hour advanced notice. If your doctor is unavailable for an urgent problem, please consider allowing Ochsner to book an appointment for you with another provider.
Lab results
You'll get your lab results in the mail. If everything is normal, you should have them within 10 business days. If there's anything unusual, your doctor's office will call you once they get the results. For pap smear results, please wait about four to six weeks.
Prescription refills
If you need a prescription refill, please call your pharmacy to request it. If your pharmacist has any questions, they will contact Ochsner. Make sure the pharmacy sends your refill request to Ochsner at least three to five working days before you run out of your medication. If we don't get the notice in time, we can't promise your refill will be ready before you use up your current supply.
Ochsner On Call
Unless otherwise directed by your doctor or provider, please call Ochsner On Call, our 24/7 nurse care advice line at 1-800-231-5257, for guidance regarding your symptoms. For emergencies, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.
Registered nurses at the Ochsner On Call Center can help determine how soon you should be seen and recommend the best care options for your symptoms.

New PCP, Mellisa Marcombe. Very impressed with her professionalism and care. Office is very clean and organized, staff was pleasant and helpful. No long wait as I showed up 15 mins prior to my scheduled appointment, checked in and was seen within 5 mins after check in. I do believe I will be with them a long time!

Safe, (using masks due to slight surge in community) efficient with courtesy, very short wait time. Check in for basic vitals efficient, preliminary interview was thorough and the nurse was attentive to any additional information. My physician arrived shortly after and engage me with seriousness and welcome and was familiar with my case. He was very focused asking questions and since I brought the most recent lab results, he was able to assess my current conditions and recommend that I continue my current meds, I have confidence in Oschner’s Services at Saint Ann’s hospital. The professionalism and the attentiveness shows consistent training and expected performance among all employees and staff and professionals. Very grateful to have campus within 25 minutes.

The staff is considerate of privacy when I'm in the room being treated. They are easy to talk with about concerns of my wound. The Dr listens and talks with me about the wound as well as the staff assisting. They understand pain which is very thoughtful with a wound. It's great having such a team to work with.
