Dr. Eric Wendel is a urologic surgeon at Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center. He was born in New Orleans but was raised in Mandeville, Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for his undergraduate education, earning a B.S. in biological sciences with minors in chemistry and Spanish. He completed his medical degree at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He then completed his general surgery internship followed by a urology residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. He has been in practice in Covington, Louisiana, since 2022. Dr. Wendel's interests include: comprehensive urological care, robotic surgery, management of genitourinary malignancies, medical and surgical management of kidney stones, medical and surgical management of BPH/enlarged prostate and erectile dysfunction. He is a member of the American Urological Association. He enjoys spending time with his family, grilling, playing golf and traveling.
