The session also explained how private evaluations and school-based pupil appraisal evaluations governed by Bulletin 1508 have many differences.

    In this Autism Acceptance Month webinar, Dr. Lynn Adams and Dr. Elisa Moran discussed the importance of early autism diagnosis and identifying language-based learning disorders. They highlighted the increased risk of reading disabilities in children with autism and emphasized the need for early intervention and collaboration between healthcare providers and schools.

  • Episode 4: Potty Training with Purpose: Strategies for Success

    For the final webinar in Ochsner’s Autism Acceptance Month series, Dr. Ebony Smith-Hollier and Addie Andrus shared practical guidance on toilet training children with autism. They shared strategies for recognizing readiness, building consistent routines, and addressing challenges such as constipation and public restroom anxiety, while emphasizing patience, preparation, and caregiver involvement throughout the process.
