Dr. Achal Sahai received his Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and his Medical Degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his post-graduate training in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He subsequently completed an advanced coronary and endovascular interventional fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania/Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Sahai is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has additional board certifications from the American Board of Vascular Medicine in endovascular medicine and from the American Board of Echocardiography in adult echocardiography. He is a board-certified Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. With impressive skill sets in interventional cardiology, general cardiology and endovascular medicine, Dr. Sahai brings an abundance of expertise and a high level of patient care. In addition to treating all cardiac and vascular disease processes, he prioritizes the physician-patient relationship.
Dr. Sahai lives in New Orleans with his wife and children. He enjoys exercising, reading, philosophizing and, most importantly, spending time with his family.
