Chris is a native of New Orleans who earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Performance and Health Promotion at the University of New Orleans. He continued his studies at the University of New Orleans where he earned a Master of Science in Health Care Management. During this program, Chris was honored with membership in the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. He then attended Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans where he earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies.
Chris joined Ochsner Health in 2002, working as a strength coach, personal trainer, and a program coordinator where he accumulated more than 15 years working with athletes. Chris is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist and USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach. He is also board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. He is also a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants and Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants.
Chris joined the Sports Medicine Institute in August 2017 where he assists Deryk Jones, MD in the operating room and participates with high school and college event coverage across the Greater New Orleans area. His specialties in clinic include evaluating and treating exercise and weight training related injuries and injection therapy.
