Biography
Dr. Runfalo earned his medical degree from the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Following graduation, he completed an internship in rural family medicine with the Bogalusa Medical Center/Our Lady of the Angels Hospital and a residency in family medicine with the Baton Rouge General Hospital. He is board certified through the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Runfalo has served in the Capital area since 2014, including the last several years in Gonzales. He will be one of the main primary care physicians at the new, state-of-the-art Ochsner Health Center in Gonzales that opened in June of 2022. Additionally, Dr. Runfalo will represent Ochsner as the Director of Community Outreach and Development in Ascension Parish.

Only reason I wouldn't recommend because after word gets out how well Dr Runfalo, staff & Oschner is. Then it gets so crowded they can't give the GREAT CARE we get now. It's a PRIVATE joke. They so GREAT at Christmas Santa even comes to see them. My handicapped son dresses up as Santa! LOLI ALWAYS GIVE THEM 125% !

First time seeing this doctor. Very good and positive experience.
We had to wait approx 5 months to get a new patient visit to establish primary care, but it was worth the wait. Compared to our previous provider, we are blown away by the care we are now receiving. The new team we have is on top of their game. They took care of all of our concerns the same day as our first appointment! (Our old doctors office took months to get things done!) We are very happy with transitioning our care, Dr. Runfalo and his nurse exceeded our expectations.
