Biography
She completed her internal medicine residency in Baltimore, Maryland, and an infectious diseases fellowship in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Mahar, a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), specializes in managing complex infections, including bloodstream, bone and joint, chronic wound, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B/C, tuberculosis, multidrug-resistant, and hospital-acquired infections.
Dr. Mahar is dedicated to evidence-based, compassionate care and collaborates closely with patients and care teams. She sees patients at Ochsner Lafayette General Infectious Disease Clinic. Additionally, she is fluent in English, Urdu, and Sindhi.
