Dr. Olle Kjellgren received his medical degree from The Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden in 1987. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center and Columbia University in New York, New York. He completed his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at The Beth Israel Medical Center and The Mount Sinai Medical School, also in New York, New York. He completed an additional fellowship in interventional cardiology at Hermann Hospital and The University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Texas. Dr. Olle Kjellgren is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology and internal medicine. He is also board certified in echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography. Dr. Olle Kjellgren has been practicing clinical and interventional cardiovascular medicine at Ochsner Baptist in New Orleans since 1995.

I have known Dr. Kjellgren for at least 20 years he took care of my mother after her first heart attack. After Hurricane Katrina we move to Texas where she missed the loving care of Doc. When we moved back in 2012 she was so glad to be back with the man that kept her alive for more years then we all thought possible. He is so easy to talk to and love saving lives. My Mom was 62 when she had her first heart attack and had two more heart attack after the first one, she live to the blessed age of 82. And I know personally that if she would have listen to his orders she would have lived a little bit longer by the grace of God. Thank you Dr. Kjellgren for being an masterful artist at your craft.
