Dr. Howard Woo earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He completed his surgery residency at the University of California at Irvine Medical Center and his urology residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, where he also completed a min-fellowship in neuro-urology.
Dr. Woo holds diplomate certification from the American Board of Urology and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1998. An active researcher, Dr. Woo has several scientific medical articles, abstracts, presentations, and lectures to his credit.
Dr. Woo specializes in general urology, including prostate and bladder problems, urinary incontinence, kidney stone disease, and men's health including erectile dysfunction, voiding dysfunction and neurobiology (sacral nerve stimulation) for bladder control issues. His additional specialties include minimally invasive therapy for BPH, brachytherapy for prostate cancer, endoscopic surgery and LGBTQ+ healthcare.
