Dr. Jacob Estes is a surgical oncologist with a focus in gynecologic oncology at Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center. He recently joined the Ochsner team as section head of gynecologic oncology at both Ochsner Medical Center and Ochsner Baptist campuses. A native of Louisiana, Dr. Estes did his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University and received his medical degree from LSU Medical School in New Orleans. He completed residency and fellowship training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he was on the faculty for five years. Dr. Estes has particular interests and expertise in the surgical and medical management of ovarian cancer as well as in complex robotic surgeries for both malignant and benign indications.
