Joseph R. Keen, DO, specializes in neurosurgery with a focus on neurosurgical oncology at Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is particularly interested in the treatment of vestibular schwannomas and the endoscopic treatment of pituitary tumors. Dr. Keen's current practice involves a mix of cranial and spinal neurosurgery with academic interests in neurosurgical oncology and utilizing minimally invasive approaches for both cranial and spinal pathology.

Dr. Keen received his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine and completed his neurosurgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in southern California. He completed an enfolded skull base fellowship with Dr. Johnny Delashaw at Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle, Washington, followed by a CAST-approved Neurosurgical Oncology fellowship at Emory University under Drs. Jeffrey Olson and Nelson Oyesiku. Dr. Keen is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
