Marcus Boutte, MSN, APRN, PMHNP, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Ochsner Health in Lafayette, Louisiana. He provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for a broad range of mental health conditions, including depressive and other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma- and stressor-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and sleep-related psychiatric concerns.

Marcus earned a Master of Science in Nursing from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, in 2026. He became a registered nurse in 2018 and has been with Ochsner Health since then. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, his clinical experience included emergency nursing and behavioral health care. He also has a background as a paramedic, having begun his career in 2012. These experiences contribute to his patient-centered approach to psychiatric care and his understanding of the relationship between mental and physical health.

He became board-certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board in July 2026 and obtained active advanced practice registered nurse licensure in Louisiana that same month. Marcus began practicing as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Ochsner Health in October 2026. He is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
