Dr. Osvaldo Camilo was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where he received his medical degree and worked as a general practitioner. He then completed a Neurology Residency at State University of New York at Stony Brook. He also completed a subsequent Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical Center followed by the completion of a Cerebrovascular Disease Fellowship at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. After completing his fellowship training, Dr. Camilo gained experience in both outpatient and inpatient hospital settings. His main areas of interest are hyperacute/acute stroke management and the design of protocols for acute management of neurological emergencies.
