Biography

Rakita is a family nurse practitioner specializing in women's health across the lifespan. She received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Dillard University in New Orleans. After 3 years in Telemetry and over 10 years of working as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Ochsner West Bank, she then went on to pursue and obtain her Masters of Science degree in Nursing from Herzing University. Rakita is board certified by Louisiana State Board of Nursing and has been on staff at Ochsner as a NP since 2021. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three beautiful kids.
