YAnnika Edwards earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree followed by a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. Prior to joining the Ochsner team, YAnnika worked as a registered nurse gaining experience in the ICU, medical-surgical unit, and long-term care. YAnnika is an active member of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners, The Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed by the State of Louisiana as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.YAnnika is originally from Reserve, Louisiana. She truly enjoys helping and caring for others, which naturally led her to her career choice.
