Colors Of The Mind

The Ochsner Neuroscience Institute has changed the course of neuroscience care in the Gulf South Region. As the only neuroscience institute of its kind in the Gulf South to be nationally ranked by the U.S. News & World Report for the ninth year in a row, the world class clinicians, researchers, and educators of the Ochsner Neuroscience Institute offer advanced specialty care and life-saving procedures.

Ochsner created Colors of the Mind five years ago to generate revenue for the Neuroscience Patient Assistance Fund. The fund helps patients and caregivers defray expenses associated with a long term or critical illness. Colors of the Mind also benefits programs such as the Neuroscience Innovation Fund which allows clinicians access to the tools to provide cutting-edge care to patients.

Colors of the Mind will take place on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Sugar Mill. To purchase tickets and sponsorships, please email specialevents@ochsner.org.

Imagination Gala

For the seventh year in a row, U.S. News & World Report has ranked Ochsner Hospital for Children (OHFC) among the Top 50 Children’s Hospitals in the country. This year, Ochsner Hospital for Children ranked in cardiology heart surgery, and orthopedics by U.S. News & World Report, which makes us the only children’s hospital in Louisiana to rank in two specialties in one year. Once again, we were ranked the #1 hospital for kids in Louisiana - U.S. News & World Report has recognized OHFC as a national healthcare leader since 2017.

With a footprint spanning the state of Louisiana and into Mississippi, OHFC brings high-quality pediatric care close to home, reducing barriers to healthcare – a key component of Ochsner’s 10-year vision to transform Louisiana into a healthier state by 2030. The Imagination Gala will take place on Friday, September 13, 2023, to not only celebrate the incredible achievements of the clinicians of OHFC but to raise funds to support the patients and create innovative advancements in pediatric healthcare.

Moonlight and Miracles

Since Dr. Alton Ochsner made the connection between tobacco use and lung cancer in 1939, Ochsner Health has remained one of the leading comprehensive destinations for cancer care across a multi-state region. The Ochsner Cancer Institute delivers compassionate, personalized care using advanced technology and treatment options such as precision therapies and early tumor detection programs. Ochsner has the largest clinical trials network in Louisiana so that patients do not have to leave the state for high quality cancer care. Ochsner’s goal is to conduct 141,000 total additional cancer screenings in the next two years.

Thanks to the generosity of Gayle and Tom Benson, the Ochsner Cancer Institute now offers supportive services such as nutrition, acupuncture, psycho social and genetic counseling provided by a team that specializes in caring for oncology patients.

Since 2013, Moonlight & Miracles Gala has generated much needed funds to directly benefit Ochsner Cancer Institute patients and programs at comprehensive cancer centers, located throughout New Orleans, Baton Rouge and the Northshore. This year, the twelfth annual Moonlight & Miracles Gala will take place the evening of either November 8 or 13, 2024 at the Caesars Superdome. The exact date of the event is dependent upon the 2024-2025 New Orleans Saints and Caesars Superdome schedule.
