Ochsner Connected MOM: A Digital Medicine Program
Connected MOM is a program for expecting mothers that stands for Connected Maternity Online Monitoring.
Connected MOM uses digital tools to provide expectant mothers a convenient way to manage pregnancy from home.
Once invited to enroll by their obstetrician, members receive a kit containing a digital blood pressure cuff and educational materials. The digital blood pressure cuff connects to the member's smartphone to automatically transfer all readings to their OB-GYN team in real time. Connected MOM helps to ensure blood pressure readings stay within healthy levels, and if not, catch potential issues sooner.
Since beginning in 2016, our Connected MOM program has helped thousands of mothers have a better care experience. The program has been featured by the AMA, CNBC and Health Tech Magazine, among others.
