Ochsner Fitness Center keeps current with the newest weight machines and cardio equipment.
Five convenient locations are open early and late, including two locations that are open 24 hours a day, to fit your schedule.
With over 250 group fitness classes each week, including virtual fitness classes, personal training and nutritional consultations, Ochsner Fitness Center helps you to get fit and stay healthy.

I joined Ochsner Fitness Center last year because I was interested in line dancing classes. Marvin Daspit has been an outstanding instructor and has taught me so much about line dancing. He really cares about his students and wants them to learn. He is great at breaking down the steps and calling out the steps as we are dancing. He varies his playlist which keeps the class members constantly learning. His music choices are great and his playlist includes songs from a variety of genres and times. You can tell that he enjoys what he does and that love of dance carries over into the class. He is prompt, approachable, organized, and very knowledgeable. He is an excellent dancer. He goes the extra mile with his students because he cares so much. Every time I leave his classes, I feel energized and happy. When I take his 2 classes back to back, I am amazed at how many dances we do in that period of time. There’s never a dull moment and it’s always fun. I would recommend Marvin to anyone joining Ochsner Fitness Center. If you’re new to line dancing, no need to worry. With Marvin as the instructor, he’ll have you doing a bunch of dances in no time! If you do have some dance experience, he will help take you to the next level! I always look forward to his classes and he is an excellent asset to Ochsner Fitness Center.

If you’re looking for a great fun cardio workout to music I recommend Donna’s beginner step class on Monday. I enjoy it very much. She also has a class on Sat which is a bit more challenging but still fun to do

I’ve been going to the fitness center for years. Had to stop for a while due to injury, but I’ve since returned. I’ve never encountered such a pleasant staff. Most days when I come in, I see Mr. Lennox, and he’s always so kind, willing and professional. A sweetheart. That’s just what us “seasoned” folks need!

I absolutely enjoy the line dancing classes with Judy. Marvin Daspit who is always there to assist and sub for Judy has been so patient and helpful when teaching. Thank you Marvin for always taking the time to make sure we learn and thank you Judy for making my experience so fun!!

My friends and I have been attending this place since before Ochsner took over. We like water aerobics, pickle ball, and the food - and everyone is always so nice. I think the youngsters in the front are a great addition to the facility. Beau and Lennox are a hoot! The young ladies are very nice as well. Thank you, Ochsner! This is an incredible facility. I absolutely adore everything about it. They offer a wide range of fitness options. The entire staff is fantastic. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Shout out to Marrissa for an incredible tour of the place.

OFC - Harahan is a great place to workout. The facilities are top of the line and staff superb, especially trainer Mel Hayes. Twice a week I train with Mel Hayes. He is knowledgeable and knows how to motivate you. I leave every workout with him with a sense of accomplishment. I not only recommend OFC, but also recommend Mel Hayes for your personal trainer.

I became a member of OFC four years ago and have had a consistently enjoyable experience since day one. The facility is always very clean and well-maintained. I particularly enjoy Thursday night spin classes with Mark M.; it's the highlight of my week in terms of exercise.

The pickleball community is great. Everyone is friendly and encouraging. Tim my pickleball coach is the best. He makes the lessons fun and exciting. He breaks down each move as well as talks about the big picture.
