Ochsner Emergency Room - Marrero

I had a great experience with Ochsner Emergency. Overall, the entire care team—from triage to the doctor and my nurse—was very friendly and attentive to my needs. I’m deeply grateful to everyone for their compassion, understanding, and excellent care.

Let me just say that this place has always been a go to when my loved ones or self are sick. Dr Langley (probably misspelled) was great. He knew exactly what was wrong and was able to treat the issue promptly within less than an hour from start to finish. The real MVP here was the nurse Francis she answered all of our questions and treated us within a timely manner but best of all her personality and attitude was top notch she wasn’t rude or passive at all. This is everything I’m looking for when getting treated unexpectedly. Overall just a great place to go when looking for unexpected treatment.

Entire staff was very Efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and concerned for my needs. They even gave a courtesy call the next day to check to see if I was well and to see if I required any assistance. They went above and beyond. Highly recommend.

I've been here twice in the past year, and both visits have been nice. Went to West Jeff ER and they gave me mild muscle relaxers to treat lower and upper abdominal pain versus trying to really fix the problem. 3 days later I was worse off. Ochsner 24 hour did all the tests, the nurses and doctor were nice, professional and thorough. They listen to you, explain things and want you to get better. I was prescribed a few different medications and after 1 night I feel mostly better. Go to Oschner 24 hour, they do great work and plan to go back if needed in the future.

I love this hospital. Fast service, great nurses. They really cared about my health concerns. Highly recommended

From the moment I walked in until I was discharged, the care and attention I received at the Ochsner emergency were exceptional. The staff was professional, kind, and efficient, making what could have been a stressful situation feel comfortable and reassuring. I highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of urgent care, you’ll be in great hands!

I came here with appendicitis and they wasted no time scanning me and had me on the way to Ocshner Belle Chasse in no time. They definitely know how to prioritize patients.

This is my go to emergency room. After last night, I decided to write a review. The nurses and doctors here are amazing, EVERYTIME! Nurses Kelsey and Rachel did an amazing job drawing blood from my three year old and keeping her calm. Kelsey made sure to keep checking in on her with a smile. Trevor, the provider, was very concerned. He made sure to run every test he could think of on her. He also checked in a couple times on her and made sure to cover every detail of her diagnoses. These staff are amazing with what they do and how they treat their patients. Thank you!

Thank you, Ochsner! Our PA, Marler was absolutely amazing with my elderly father. Dr. Mercado and his team was very attentive to us, and we were assisted very quickly. The care and knowledge that was provided was exceptional!

Dr. Brown, nor the nurse Maegan seemed to care much about my husband and why he was there. There was no sense of urgency and little to no communication. The nurse came in with discharge paperwork and the doctor never said we were getting discharged. Then once we asked to speak with him again, that’s when he told us my husband had a viral issue. They basically suck. And even though there wasn’t a whole lot they could do because of the viral stuff, acting like you giving dang and having some empathy toward the person in the bed goes a long way. And to think I was happy that he was a black male doctors. In the end, it didn’t matter much

I was seen within 5 minutes of walking in the door. The PA addressed all of my concerns and helped my condition tremendously. Would always recommend this place to anyone who doesn't want to sit in a regular ER for hours to be seen.

The staff at this location truly understands the 360 care of their patients. Crystal Washington was my nurse and she was an advocate for me. She paid attention to everything that was going on and the team work was so impressive to me. Doctors actually listened to the nurses and the nurses really listen to the patients. I would recommend them any day of the week and twice on Thursday.

I had a broken rib and a popped lung. A chest tube was inserted there and I received wonderful care. Nurse Megan walked my wife to her car when it was raining very hard and I was getting an ambulance ride to Ochsner West.

The doctor was very brief, not in my room long enough to answer any of my questions. The nurse was very friendly and seemed to sympathize about the doctors neglectful ways. He sat and answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable.

This place is very clean Chad the Nurse The FNP Mary & the triage Nurse have all been extremely helpful & services were quick! My daughter had severe throat pain. & everyone was extremely efficient. & friendly...Awaiting Test results

It’s a basic ER in my opinion. They ain't on the level like West Jeff and stuff, but they good when your not in a hurry, but they do take longer than most ER’s. My mom had to go today and she had to wait long but she didn’t have a problem. In my opinion (from the last time i’ve been there) there short staffed, and they may have to go to someone else. They were nice and respectful to me and I only saw up to 6 staff members. Maybe they have more now I don’t know but in conclusion, they good for if you don't wanna go to a big hospital/ER and if your not in a hurry.

I went here for the first time 10/11/21 with stomach problems. I was taken back really quick. They only had maybe 4 other people in the waiting room so I think I went at a good time. The staff were all super sweet & the doctors too. Especially the young man (nurse ) that helped me get my CAtScan , He was amazing. I personally recommend this place because I had a very normal ER experience. I think other reviews are acting as if it’s a “doctors office “ Any ER is going to have a wait depending on how busy & they have to take heart attack patients before stomach ache patients it’s common sense. My suggestion is if your going bring a cell phone charger (portable if you have one) & maybe a small blanket & pillow just incase you get stuck waiting.And I’m pretty sure they’ll let you go wait in your car if you’re more comfortable.

Very fast great doctors & nurses

Just wanted to send a shout out to Toyah, the nurse that helped us on 4th of July night. We learned that she and the other nurses were tending to a horrible firework accident with a young boy upon our arrival and yet she was able to muster up the strength to come out and the spirits of a scared little girl who required emergency stitches. She put on a smile over an obviously rattled heart to come out and do her job. That takes strength and courage and she is much appreciated!

Although this was my first visit, I was overall please with the service rendered to me. The medical staff was very friendly and emphatic. I did, however, feel the service was slow considering there weren't many people there. Despite that, I plan to come back when needed.
