Visiting Hours
Visiting family and friends can do a great deal in helping a patient in their recovery. We do ask that our visitors abide by certain policies all aimed at maximizing the benefit of our care to our patients.
Smoking
Ochsner St. Anne is a non-smoking facility, including our hospital and clinics. We ask that you refrain from using tobacco products of any type while on the hospital or clinic campuses.
Visitation
We welcome visitors. However, please know that in certain areas, we must restrict the number of visitors and in some cases, the age of our visitors. Our Critical Care Unit, while open to visitors, does not permit overnight stays by family members nor regular visitations by children under 12. Our Behavioral Health Unit allows visitors from 6-9 p.m. on weekdays but visitation is only allowed with the presentation of the proper patient code given at the time of admission. We will do our best to accommodate family members who wish to stay overnight with their family member in our medical-surgical rooms. Please ask at the nurses’ station for information and restrictions. Please assist us in minimizing any loud conversations in our hospital corridors so as to not distract our patients from their rest and recovery. Your help in creating a peaceful environment is greatly appreciated.
