Transfer a Patient
Ochsner's Patient Flow Center provides 24/7 expert support from registered nurses to streamline hospital transfers. We coordinate triage, registration, bed assignments and transportation, while keeping referring teams fully informed to ensure seamless care for adult and pediatric patients.
As part of our commitment to a strong partnership with you, we also ensure that the referring team will receive important updates consistently throughout the transfer process via phone call.

Emergency Care Transportation
Our expert transport team ensures safe, rapid emergency transfers for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, offering specialized care during helicopter or ambulance transport with highly skilled paramedics, respiratory therapists, and certified nurses.
You can feel confident in your patient's care, knowing that we implement physician orders during all transports, including those for specialty ventilator, isolette and balloon pump patients, and if needed our physicians and specialty staff are available to accompany your patient during transport.
