Colorectal Cancer Liver Metastases Program

Colorectal liver metastases are cancerous tumors that have spread to the liver from the colon or rectum.

Our program combines advanced surgical techniques, including robotic resection, with interventional options. This allows us to offer tumor resection to more patients. 

Ochsner is one of only a few hospitals around the world that offers liver transplantation for colorectal metastases for patients with colorectal cancer confined to the liver that would be otherwise unresectable.

We take a multidisciplinary approach to our Colorectal Cancer Liver Metastases Program. This means our experts from various specialties work together to provide comprehensive and personalized care.

We also share each patient's case at a multidisciplinary tumor board specific for colorectal cancer liver metastases.
