What We Offer

People need medical equipment at home for all kinds of things: From better breathing to joint support. At Ochsner Home Medical Equipment, our team is here to help connect you with the right tools to support your health and well-being at home.

Orthopedic home medical equipment helps support the body, improve mobility and aid in recovery from injuries or surgeries. Products for orthopedic injury or recovery help people heal while providing stabilization, reducing pain and supporting better movement.

  • Common Products: Knee and ankle braces, back supports, orthopedic pillows, compression socks, crutches and canes, continuous passive motion (CPM) machines, cast boots, wrist splints, slings and knee scooters.

  • Conditions Supported: Joint replacement recovery, spinal surgery recovery, sprains and fractures, torn ligaments, dislocations, muscle strains, ligament repairs and chronic conditions like arthritis.

Wearable equipment helps people with sleep apnea and snoring-related breathing difficulties get better sleep by ensuring proper airflow and reducing interruptions. Common sleep products are:

  • CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) Machines: Deliver a constant stream of air to keep airways open.

  • BiPAP (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure) Machines: Offer different pressure levels for inhalation and exhalation, often used for more severe cases.

  • Masks & Accessories: Full-face masks, nasal masks, tubing, humidifiers and filters.

Oxygen therapy equipment helps people with respiratory conditions by delivering supplemental oxygen to improve breathing and overall oxygen levels. These products can be valuable for people with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), emphysema, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, pneumonia and other chronic lung diseases. Some common products for better breathing are:

  • Oxygen Concentrators: Provide a continuous supply of oxygen from room air.

  • Portable Oxygen Tanks: Allow mobility while receiving oxygen therapy.

  • Oxygen Accessories: Cannulas, masks, tubing, humidifiers and regulators.

  • Nebulizers: Convert liquid medication into a mist for inhalation.

Mobility aids help people who have difficulty walking or maintaining balance. They provide stability, reduce the risk of falls and improve independence. Mobility aids can benefit a lot of people, but can be especially helpful for those with arthritis, history of stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), fractures, recent surgeries or general mobility impairments due to aging or injury. Some common products that can help support better movement are:

  • Canes: Provide minimal support for balance and mild mobility issues.

  • Walkers & Rollators: Walkers offer maximum stability, while rollators (walkers with wheels) provide more mobility with built-in seats for resting.

  • Wheelchairs: Manual and power wheelchairs assist those who cannot walk or have limited strength.

  • Knee Scooters: Help people with foot or ankle injuries move around without putting weight on the affected leg.

  • Lift Chairs: Motorized recliners can help individuals stand up and sit down with ease.
