We recognize that people have a lot of questions about what they should do if they have been exposed, are experiencing symptoms or need a COVID-19 test. At Ochsner, we are here to help guide you through this process and have developed a COVID-19 Self-Care and Symptom Monitoring Program through MyOchsner.
The Louisiana Department of Health offers COVID-19 testing seven days a week. Please click here for a full list of testing locations.
Free at-home COVID tests available
Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order 4 free at-home COVID-19 tests. The tests are completely free. Orders will usually ship in 7-12 days.
Testing is available at our community testing sites for symptomatic and asymptomatic patients. Walk-ups are welcome.
You will receive your test results within 96 hours via the MyOchsner patient portal or by phone. Those who test positive will have the opportunity to participate in Ochsner’s 14-day symptom tracker program designed for COVID-19 patients who do not require hospital care. Participants receive daily text messages to monitor symptoms and can be connected to our 24/7 nurse on-call line for additional support. You may call 800-231-5257 or 504-842-3155. You can also click the button below.
If you are unsure about if or when you should be tested, talk with a provider virtually with Ochsner Anywhere Care for medical advice. Ochsner Anywhere Care cannot place orders for infusions.
