Physical Therapist Assistant
Provides physical therapy treatments as assigned by a licensed Physical Therapist.
Activities:
- Performs treatments as prescribed under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Updates physical therapist on patient's status
- Maintains patient records
- May educate and train other PTAs
- Respects patient confidentiality
What You'll Need
Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program; current physical therapy assistant license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state; Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association
Knowledge: English language, Microsoft Office
Skills: Excellent verbal & written communication skills, problem-solving skills, computer skills, multi-tasking skills, time management skills
Abilities: Work independently and collaboratively as a team member, collaborates with care team, maintains patient confidentiality
