Anita Richard is a diabetes educator and an endocrinology nurse practitioner in Covington, Louisiana. Mrs. Richard received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans in 1993. She then received her master's degree as a nurse practitioner from the University of South Alabama in 2003.Mrs. Richard is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in both adult and geriatric care and is also a Certified Diabetes Educator. She has been with the endocrinology department at Ochsner since 1995 and specializes in intense insulin therapy including the use of insulin pumps.
