Biography
Abbie Douet, WHNP, practices maternal and fetal medicine at Ochsner Health. Abbie specializes in women’s health, with a focus on maternal and newborn care, high-risk pregnancies, and comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services. She brings a patient-centered, evidence-based approach to women’s healthcare.
Abbie Douet earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2020. She began her nursing career at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center on the medical surgical unit, and she later transitioned to the mother baby unit, where she worked as a registered nurse for over five years. During this time, she collaborated closely with maternal and fetal medicine specialists, gaining experience in the care of high-risk pregnancies and developing a deep understanding of complex obstetric needs.
Her passion for advancing women’s health led her to pursue an advanced degree at the University of South Alabama, where she graduated with a Master of Science in nursing as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in 2024.
