Alexander Richerand, MD

Dr. Richerand is outstanding! I’m moving and one of the worst parts about that is losing a great Dr. I wish I had found him sooner. He has been able to help me deal with joint and connective tissue pain which is believed to mostly come from my autoimmune illness. At least where we are today, it can’t be fixed, only treated and dealing with chronic pain has been a part of my life for more than 20 years. Dr. Richerand understood and I felt no judgement or shame for needing help. Unfortunately with an invisible, chronic illness that happens often. I’ve been getting trigger point injections for the last several months in my shoulders/back and it has helped me get some sleep. I usually wake at night with pain. I also have a torn labrum in my right shoulder and was having a flare from it. I think the injections helped with that pain as well. I recently had my last visit with him and told him I was moving. It was an extremely busy day at his practice. He didn’t know anyone to refer me to where I was moving, but gave me advice on how to search for someone. He also gave me some advice on future treatment. A few hours later, I received an email from him. He had taken the time to look up a MD in physical medicine where I am moving who he thought would be good to continue my treatment. I know he was very busy that day and I think that he cared enough about his now former patient to take that time to help me says a lot about his character. As a Dr and as a person! If you are anywhere close to Dr. Richerand, I highly recommend you see him! I’m 13 hours away, but if I were 2-3 hours away, I’d drive to continue to see him.

Dr Richerand and his nurse were so professional and caring and efficient. I highly recommend them!!
