Dr. Brown received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans and her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Following this, she completed her residency in anatomy and clinical pathology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She completed a surgical pathology fellowship and the Susan G. Komen Interdisciplinary Breast Cancer Fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Dr. Brown is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic and clinical pathology and joined the Ochsner staff in April 2020. She has been practicing medicine since 2008. Dr. Brown's expertise is in surgical pathology, breast pathology and performance improvement. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
