Alexandra Koehler, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, practices genitourinary medical oncology at Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center. She specializes in the care of patients with prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular cancers. A New Orleans native, she earned both her Bachelor of Science in nursing and later completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Alexandra is board-certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

In addition to clinical practice, Alexandra serves as co-director of the Advanced Practice Provider Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program, where she helps develop and mentor advanced practice providers pursuing specialized training in oncology. She is actively engaged in advancing oncology education through her participation in both department-based education committees and national educational initiatives through the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology (APSHO). Her professional interests include APP education, mentorship, fellowship training, and the advancement of oncology care through continued professional development.
