Alisha Parker, DO, MS, practices nephrology at Ochsner Health. Specializing in nephrology and internal medicine, Dr. Parker has expertise in the diagnosis, management and treatment of kidney diseases/disorders including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, glomerulonephritis, polycystic kidney disease and fluid management. She offers comprehensive care for various medical needs including hypertension management, electrolyte balance, acid-base balance, and renal replacement therapy/dialysis. Dr. Parker earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, SC in 2015 and completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2018. She completed a Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, in 2020. She is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology and Women in Nephrology to stay updated on medical advancements. Dr. Parkers patient-centered approach emphasizes compassionate care and personalized treatment plans. She is dedicated to addressing patients medical needs while understanding individual concerns and goals. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her children, husband and dogs, and she enjoys playing tennis, traveling and reading.
