Dr. Amy Smith earned her Doctor of Audiology from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2009. She was awarded her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders from Louisiana State University in 2005. Dr. Smith is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). She is licensed to practice audiology and to fit and dispense hearing aids by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Dr. Smith enjoys working with all age groups but specializes in the adult population. Her clinical experience includes diagnostic evaluations of the auditory system, as well as, hearing aid evaluations, fitting and aural rehabilitation with assistive listening devices. She delights in working with patients to improve their quality of life by addressing their individualized hearing needs and to facilitate better communication with their families and friends.

Dr. Smith is devoted to finding the best possible hearing aid solution for each patient, using the full range of her experience and abilities. This includes an in-depth knowledge of hearing loss and extensive experience in fitting different hearing devices from several manufacturers. With many options available in today’s hearing industry, Dr. Smith uses all resources at hand to customize hearing devices according to your unique needs and lifestyle. Her personal and professional goal is to provide the best quality care to the patients and families with whom she has an opportunity to work and to bring awareness to the needs of the hearing-impaired population in the greater New Orleans area.
