Biography
Dr. Amy Truitt earned her undergraduate degree in pharmacy from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe and earned her medical degree in 1997 from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. In 2001 she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Ochsner Medical Center.
Dr. Truitt is an active member of the Ochsner medical staff, serving as both Chair of Women's and Children's Services and Medical Staff Secretary-Treasurer. She also participates in the Medical Executive Committee, Medical Staff Nominating Committee, and the Medical and Physician Excellence Committee.
Dr. Truitt is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and practices at Ochsner Medical Center - Kenner.

Dr. Truitt is a very CARING doctor. She takes the TIME to talk to you about your problems and never rushes you out. She is very nice. I wish all doctors were like her. She listened and gave me some treatment options. This is why I still go to her. She cares unlike a lot of doctors that are getting up before you can ask all your questions, she stays to listen.
