Amy Truitt, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist (OB/GYN) at Ochsner Health. She practices gynecology at Ochsner Health Center - Kenner in Kenner, Louisiana, and specializes in general gynecology care, perimenopause, menopause, vaginal and vulvar care and diseases, painful sexual relations and diagnosis of pelvic floor dysfunction.

Dr. Truitt earned her undergraduate degree in pharmacy from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, Louisiana, and earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. In 2001 she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Ochsner Medical Center – New Orleans. Dr. Truitt is a member of The Menopause Society. Dr. Truitt is an active member Ochsner Health's medical staff by serving as the past chair of women's and children's services and medical staff secretary-treasurer. She also has participated in the Medical Executive Committee, Medical Staff Nominating Committee and the Medical and Physician Excellence Committee.

In her free time, Dr. Truitt enjoys cooking, fostering dogs, reading cookbooks, traveling and music/concerts.
