Biography
Dr. Sowers earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He then completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he served as Chief Fellow. He remains committed to lifelong learning and actively participates in professional organizations dedicated to advancing pain medicine, anesthesiology and patient care.
Dr. Sowers is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of his patients while understanding their individual concerns and goals. He believes that successful pain management begins with listening to patients and creating personalized treatment plans focused on improving function, mobility and quality of life. By combining the latest evidence-based therapies with a compassionate approach, he works closely with patients to help them regain independence and achieve meaningful pain relief. Outside of medicine, he enjoys running, playing tennis and following Formula 1 racing.
