Dr. Brian Callihan, a native of Kentwood, Louisiana, attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he received his undergraduate degree in kinesiology, with minors in biology, chemistry and business administration. He continued his educational journey at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and New Orleans where he received his doctorate degree. Dr. Callihan completed his residency at the Tulane-Baton Rouge General family medicine residency program. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and has been on staff at Ochsner since May 2019. He is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians (LAFP). His hobbies include spending time with family, sports, volunteering at the Catholic church, and going to the beach.
