Biography
Dr. Nelson earned both his bachelors degree in biology and his optometry degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. He completed his internship at Omni Eye Care Services in Metairie and his residency at the MediVision Medical & Surgical Eye Care Center in New Orleans. He is certified by the National Board of Examiners in optometry and holds a Louisiana license to practice therapeutic optometry. He is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honors Fraternity. Dr. Nelson has been on staff at Ochsner since 1990.
