Biography

Brian Pitre, MD, specializes in general surgery at Ochsner Health. Dr. Pitre received a bachelor of science degree in health science from Mississippi State University located in Starkville, Mississippi. He then earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Pitre completed his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of American College of Surgeons. He is also published in many medical journals. Dr. Pitre has lived on the coast for over 27 years and is happily married with two children. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, boating and cooking.
