Brooke McIntyre, NP, specializes in bariatric and general surgery at Ochsner Health. She graduated from the University of Louisiana in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in nursing and began her nursing career in the emergency department. During those four years, she also pursued my Master of Science in nursing at McNeese State University, which she completed in 2020. This combination of advanced education and high‑acuity clinical experience strengthened her assessment and critical‑thinking skills and continues to guide her practice today.

In April 2021, she transitioned into bariatric and general surgery as an advanced practice provider, expanding her role to include comprehensive surgical care and non‑surgical weight‑loss management. This specialty has allowed her to support patients through life‑changing procedures while helping them build sustainable, long‑term health habits.
