Biography
Dr. Ryan Charles specializes in total hip and total knee replacement with a focus in robotic hip and knee replacement at Ochsner Health. He received a Bachelor of Arts undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Virginia. He then earned his masters in Biophysics and Physiology at Georgetown University. He obtained his medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society.
Dr. Charles completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Michigan Health System, where he was a Chief Resident and received multiple awards for his dedication to resident education. He then became an associate staff physician at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation where he completed his fellowship in primary and complex hip and knee arthroplasty.

Dr. Charles explained my surgery by telling me everything he was going to do and everything I had to do on my part. I listened and followed all instructions. I would recommend Dr. Charles highly to anyone, he gave me my life back to walk without pain.
Dr. Charles is amazing give me all the info, options, & risks. Even physical therapy & injections as an option to try before any surgery.

Dr. Charles was amazing. He took the time to explain detailed next steps and even possibilities. Due to his detail, I feel comfortable with his recommendations. He talked to me as if he was in no rush and I was his only patient. I am so happy I selected him as my Orthopedic doctor.

Dr Ryan Charles was very good at relating to me and and started off by listening to me and letting me describe what I had been experiencing. He explained to me what was going on with me in a way that I could understand. He shared his knowledge (some doctors don't talk to you) and explained where I should go from there and why. One of the best doctors I've seen in a long time. Do what you can to hold on to him.
