Biography

Chintan Rupareliya, MD, MHA, is a multilingual neurologist practicing at Ochsner Health. Dr. Rupareliya has expertise in neurology/vascular neurology and neuro-endovascular surgery offering comprehensive care for various neurological and cerebrovascular needs including medical and interventional management of stroke (ischemic/hemorrhagic), epilepsy, AVMs, AV Fistulas, venous sinus disorders, aneurysms, headaches, memory disorders, multiple sclerosis, among others.

Dr. Rupareliya earned his medical degree (MD) from Smolensk State Medical University, Smolensk, Russia, in 2012. He then completed certifications in community health and disaster preparedness from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey, followed by Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA) from Wilmington University, New Castle, Delaware. Later, he completed certification course in electroencephalography (EEG)/Epilepsy from the Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH. He went on to do neurology residency from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky in 2022 and completed fellowship specializing in Vascular Neurology (Stroke) from the UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas. He is board-certified in neurology since 2022 and vascular neurology since 2024 by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).

Dr. Rupareliya actively participates in SNIS (Society of Neurointerventional Surgery), SVIN (Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology), ISC (International Stroke Conference) and AAN (American Academy of Neurology) to stay updated on medical advancements.

Dr. Rupareliya has numerous peer-reviewed papers and local/ national presentations in the field of stroke and neuroendovascular surgery.

Dr. Rupareliya is dedicated to addressing the neurological/cerebrovascular/neurointerventional needs of his patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. He has been practicing at Ochsner since 2023. Outside of medicine, he enjoys travelling, spending time with family/friends and working out.
