A New Orleans native, Dr. Hasney earned his bachelor of science in cell and molecular biology from Tulane University in 2002. He matriculated to Tulane University School of Medicine where he earned his doctor of medicine in 2006. He completed a residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine in 2011 and a fellowship in head and neck surgical oncology, microvascular reconstructive surgery and cranial base surgery at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN in 2012.
Dr. Hasney’s clinical interests include the management of patients with malignant and benign tumors of the head and neck, skull base tumors, surgery of the thyroid and parathyroid glands, evaluation and treatment of dysphagia, airway stenosis and vocal cord paralysis and reconstruction of complex head and neck defects. Dr. Hasney also has a clinical interest in salivary gland disorders and is one of the few surgeons in the region to offer salivary endoscopy, a cutting edge, minimally invasive procedure, as a treatment option for obstructive disorders of the salivary glands.
