Biography
Christopher C. Anderson, MD, practices headache medicine and interventional pain management at Ochsner Health. Dr. Anderson has expertise in treating all headache and facial pain disorders (chronic migraine, cluster headache, cervicogenic headache, occipital neuralgia, trigeminal neuralgia, TMJ dysfunction, atypical facial pain, etc.) and is also interested in treating pain associated with neuropathic and nociplastic conditions (fibromyalgia, myofascial pain syndrome, hypermobile spectrum disorders/hEDS). He offers comprehensive care for various medical needs, including medication management, interventional procedures, physical therapy, behavioral health, and integrative modalities. Dr. Anderson earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center - New Orleans in 2018. As of 2024, he is triple-board-certified and completed residency training in Adult Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis / BJH / SLCH consortium in 2022, UCNS-accredited fellowship in Headache Medicine at the Mayo Clinic - Scottsdale in 2023, and ACGME-accredited fellowship in Interventional / Multidisciplinary Pain Medicine at Stanford University in 2024. Dr. Anderson was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical society while in his junior year of medical school. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Headache Society, and ASRA/Pain Medicine. Dr. Anderson is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of his patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. He has been practicing at Ochsner since October 2024. Outside of medicine, he enjoys restaurants, audiobooks, science fiction/fantasy, video games, and taking naps.
