Dr. Schoolfield attended medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He completed his residency at LSU Health - Shreveport, and his fellowship at George Washington University Hospital. In his own words:

"I provide a wide range of general surgery and minimally invasive procedures. I am fellowship trained in advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures including foregut surgery (hiatal hernias, reflux disease, achalasia, median arcuate ligament syndrome, gastric cancers), colorectal surgery, small bowel disease, complex hernias and adrenal surgery."

"My goal is to provide all patients with quality surgical care while ensuring they have a better understanding of their disease process and how surgery may benefit them. I hope that after my consultation, patients will be able to make informed decisions regarding their care choices, having gained a clear understanding of the proposed intervention's benefits, risks, alternatives and expectations."
