Dawn Rosteet is a nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine at Ochsner Health. Dawn was born in Jennings, Louisiana, and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana. After graduating high school, she attended McNeese State University where she received her bachelor of science in nursing in 1996. Dawn has over 27 years of experience in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for nine years in the Cardiac catheterization Lab, Same Day Surgery and Eye Surgery departments. While working at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, she returned to McNeese State University and received her masters of science in nursing in 2011, as well as a post-masters certificate (PMC) in 2013, graduating with honors. Dawn spent 18 years gaining experience as a family nurse practitioner in emergency medicine, occupational medicine and family medicine. She is accredited by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is trained to treat patients ranging from infancy to elderly. Dawn is excited to grow and learn from all the amazing physicians and nurse practitioners with Ochsner as she embarks on this new endeavor. She currently resides in Lake Charles, Louisiana. with her family. She enjoys art, photography and traveling to Scotland to visit her family.
