Dr. Edith Mbagwu practices family medicine at Ochsner Health. Dr. Mbagwu earned a medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed a family medicine residency at Baton Rouge General Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is board-certified in family medicine and also specializes in obesity medicine. She is a senior lecturer at Ochsner Clinical School University of Queensland and an adjunct faculty at Xavier University of Louisiana. Dr. Mbagwu is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American Board of Obesity Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians, Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians. Her special areas of interest includes family, obesity and women's health.
