Biography
Edward Hymel, NP-C received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2013. He received a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana in 2018. Edward obtained over four years of experience as a registered nurse working in the surgical intensive care unit and hospital float pool at Ochsner Medical Center while obtaining his graduate degree. He is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Edward enjoys communicating with patients, getting to know them and individualizing their plans of care based on their preferences and values as well as medical science and evidence-based practices. He is a firm believer in utilizing teamwork among healthcare providers and patients in order to more effectively meet patient goals. Edward has always considered open communication and mutual understanding as some of his most favorite aspects of working in the nursing profession.
