Elizabeth "Marie" Sims, AGACNP-BC, practices critical care medicine at Ochsner Health. Marie has expertise in managing complex adult and geriatric patients in acute care settings, offering comprehensive care for a variety of critical conditions including respiratory failure and sepsis.


Marie earned her Master of Science in nursing from the University of South Alabama College of Nursing in Mobile, Alabama, in 2015. She is dual board-certified as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner by both the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Her clinical foundation began in 2009 as a registered nurse in the Ochsner Rush Medical Center intensive care unit, and she advanced to nurse practitioner in 2015, bringing years of bedside experience into her advanced practice role.


Marie is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and remains actively engaged in continued learning and clinical excellence. She is committed to delivering patient-centered care that addresses both urgent medical needs and individual goals.
She has been practicing at Ochsner since 2009. Outside of medicine, Marie enjoys learning and practicing in the field of aesthetics as a personal and professional interest.
